First request may be slower; subsequent ones are quick.
Big requests may come back short here. The playground waits for the result, so large pulls can hit the time limit. For those, use an async job from your code instead.

Test Serpent API Endpoints

Select an API key, choose a product category and inspect both formatted output and raw JSON. Local development uses the same public paths as the hosted site.

Google Maps

Run Quick or Deep place search, fetch one place record, and page through reviews. Search results visibly distinguish complete and core-only detail.

SERP Endpoints

Test web search, news, images and video results across supported engines. Quick and deep search both support up to 100 results; quick is speed-optimized, deep carries the rich SERP fields.

AI Ranking

Check how AI models cite websites. Query Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity to see which domains get referenced in their responses. Track your brand's AI visibility.

Social Media

Search YouTube videos, get channel statistics, retrieve video metadata, and retrieve Instagram profile data. All responses in clean, structured JSON.

How the Playground Works

  1. Sign in — your first API key is created for you and selected in the dropdown automatically. Add, rename, or disable keys any time on the API Keys page.
  2. Choose a category — SERP, Google Maps, AI Ranking, or Social Media.
  3. Configure your query — set the search engine, country, number of results, and filters.
  4. Hit Run — the playground calls the API and displays formatted results with timing, result count, and the raw JSON response.

Supported Search Engines

Serpent API supports five major search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Brave. Endpoint and feature coverage varies by engine; responses use documented public fields.

Pricing

Web requests start from $0.03 per 1,000 at Scale tier, with account-state billing rules. Every new account gets free calls. See full pricing for per-engine costs across all tiers.
